From summers spent rock pooling as a child, bitterly cold days mapping the rocks as a student, to hours spent walking the cliff path with my camera, my relationship with the landscape is always evolving. I am drawn to where the land meets the sea, the epic scale of time is exposed here in a unique way and is in constant flux. I love walking and this is a really important part of my process. Trying to capture a feeling or memory is important in making an image which, for me represents my connection to a place.
I live and work in Caerphilly and spend much of my spare time in Pembrokeshire where the draw of the coast provides me with constant inspiration. I enjoy using different techniques in my practice including painting, lino and wood cut, etching and mono printing.
I graduated with a degree in Geology with Biology, from the University of Southampton. My interest in the natural world, past and present continues to influence my work.
